TSH v4

In March of 2009 TSH released TSH v4, a download package containing new Jane's F-18 features as well as a large number of previously-existing mods. These previous mods formerly had to be installed piecemeal, which could be a tedious and sometimes confusing process. TSH v4 gathers all of these mods into one package - a package that has become the de facto standard for a modded Jane's F-18 installation. You can read about what is included in TSH v4 by reading the TSH v4 Manual.

TSH v4 does not include any files that are considered to be a user option. Options are are things like the F-14 and A-10 loadout screens, terrain colors that use lighter water shades, soundpacks, and missions/campaigns. These are left as separate downloads and installations.

All mod downloads on the TSH website have been "retooled" for ease of installation. Every mod is now packaged for use with the Jonesoft Generic Mod Enabler (JSGME). JSGME is a very simple but effective tool that allows mods to be installed and uninstalled with ease. Every time JSGME is used to install a mod, a backup of the modified files is made, and the mod can be uninstalled so that the game is restored to its previous state.

The remainder of this guide explains what the available optional TSH mods are and how to install them.
